Job Description

The Vice President of Atlanta Operations is responsible for managing the operations departments to deliver the best service to both internal and external clients.  The primary focus for this role is Vehicle Acquisition and Remarketing but must also be willing to play a key role in supporting other operational areas.

Essential Functions:

The Vice President, will be responsible for the operations functions of the corporate fleet division which include, but are not limited to the following functions:

  • Oversee efficient and accurate acquisition of approximately 35,000 vehicles annually from OEMs and Out of Stock franchise dealer networks.
  • Responsible for remarketing approximately 35,000 used vehicles annually utilizing analytical data from internal and external sources to ensure that vehicles are sold in a remarketing sales channel that maximizes value and reduces days to sell.
  • Responsible for developing and delivering new channels of remarketing including website and listings optimization to deliver complex digital remarketing.
  • Responsible for delivering exceptional client service and expertise through an understanding of client needs.
  • Experienced operational leader that in partnership with sales and client services will understand and apply consultative methods to solve complex solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong operations business relationships with OEM representatives.
  • Dealer Service Loaner Program – Provide high level of service to OEM’s in the operational execution of the service loaner program and supports the development and launch of future programs for other OEMs.
  • Provide P&L operational leadership and vision to understand and leverage people, process, and technology to elevate overall operational performance across the organization.
  • Lead as business owner and actively participate in projects aimed at our continuing effort to review and improve all operational business processes utilizing LEAN process methodology to:

o   Eliminate waste from processes and achieve operational cost savings

o   Define and document “to be” processes in order to align processes with future technology system enhancements

o   Define and drive standardization and efficiencies to create capabilities for new and existing products and services

o   Accurately define prioritization of operations projects

o   Improve service level to internal/external clients

o   Identify processes that should be automated

o   Reduce operational losses

  • Cultivate strong cross-functional working relationships throughout the organization using shared strategies, successful collaboration, and a joint sense of accountability.
  • Advise the SVP-Operations and senior management on all matters that come to the Vice President’s attention, either formally or informally, which may have either a short-term or long-term impact on the operational ability/and or the profitability of the company.
  • Establish, maintain and test operational disaster recovery and business continuity plans within the parameters of the corporate policy.
  • Effectively manage timekeeping and payroll tools, conduct timely performance appraisals and follow up, insure all employees meet training and development goals, including any other management duties for all direct reports.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
  • Other duties assigned to ensure overall departmental efficiency.

Ideal Requirements:


Education:           Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or equivalent work experience

Experience:        Minimum of 7 years of progressive operations leadership managing multi-functional operations teams as well as executive-level responsibility.

Leader with proven track record of initiating change in an operations organization.

Experience with developing complex digital remarketing strategies.

OEM experience preferred.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.               

Strong analytical and management skills and demonstrated decision making ability.
