Job Description

The Vehicle Application & Data Analyst provides consultative support for optimal selection of vehicle and equipment configurations. This includes gathering, analyzing and communicating information to both internal and external customers. Maintain vehicle tables and create vehicle specifications in conjunction with Account managers.

Essential Functions

  • Provide consultation for clients, Sales prospects and Client Success Teams by analyzing and evaluating customer vehicle application needs.
  • Determine optimal vehicle replacement thru cost effective analysis and present equipment recommendations.
  • Consult with Clients and Account Managers on potential changes/alternatives to the customer’s vehicle specifications that provide added value and/or lower acquisition costs.
  • Partner with Clients and Client Success Team to provide up to date vehicle information, advise on compatibility of options and assist in any issues involving pricing. Goal is to provide accurate vehicle specifications to meet a client needs and expectations.
  • Maintain vehicle information tables.
  • Create and/or consult in building specifications for Account Managers & Clients. Verify client vehicle and upfit specs are complete and accurate for client ordering cycles.
  • Analyze and complete the vehicle Acquisition approval of all order specifications to manufacturer guidelines to ensure proper option content and specification accuracy.
  • Verify content and audit order guides for accuracy as they are published by the manufacturers.
  • Monitor data provider’s vehicle information including options and pricing for invalid information. Work with VADA team and data provider on any errors found.
  • Maintain and update assigned reports.
  • Update and send vehicle information notifications and all other important manufacturer announcements.
  • Maintain system data (maintenance tables) for vehicles not supplied by Data Provider (heavy truck, Equipment, Trailers)
  • Special projects as identified to support department and business goals.
  • Communicate with co-workers, team members, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions
  • Demonstrate reliable and predictable attendance.
  • Other duties assigned to ensure overall department efficiency.

Ideal Requirements

Education: College degree or equivalent work experience in the fleet management industry.

Experience: Minimum of five (5) years (cumulative) in Automotive / Fleet and IT industries. Demonstrated database and data analysis knowledge. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience with truck and upfit spec’ing strongly preferred.  

Skills: Strong analytical skills, detail oriented with the ability to multi-task. Problem solver with strong communication and collaborative skills. Self-motivated and able to plan and execute to obtain desired results.
