Job Description

The Product Manager is responsible for a portfolio of products managing the product planning and execution throughout the product life. Responsibilities include gathering and prioritizing product and user requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with development, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and client satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager must ensure that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals from a local and global perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the product strategy and roadmap
  • Manage the agile development process by being the liaison with the business, IT, commercial, marketing and other key stakeholders
  • Deliver market requirement documents and product requirement documents with prioritized features and corresponding reasoning
  • Determine whether build or partner is the best path for development
  • Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and prototypes to measure and learn
  • Be a market expert with respect to the competition
  • Act as a leader within the company
  • Communicate with co-workers, team members, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
  • Demonstrate reliable and predictable attendance.
  • Other duties assigned to ensure overall departmental efficiency.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or other graduate degree a plus.

Experience: 5+ years progressive experience in Product Planning/Product Marketing/Product Management/Design Thinking. Automotive industry experience a plus

Skills: 

  • Agile/Scrum experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Presentation skills for internal and external audiences
  • Proactive, enthusiastic attitude toward challenging problems
  • Capable of quickly evaluating and prioritizing new projects alongside customer feedback
  • Ability to take user requirements and distill them into a format that can be understood by developers
  • Ability to research and analyze product requirements from various stakeholders
  • Competency with project management, including issues and risk identification and management
  • Ability to understand market trends, financial data, and client needs
  • Assess competitive intelligence data
  • Build consensus among stakeholders
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a diverse team
  • Ability to multi-task among various assignments
