Job Description

The MyFleetSolutions Fleet Manager is responsible to provide the client with a pro-active consultative approach to managing their fleet performance along with making recommendations for cost containment and maintaining LeasePlan’s ROE.

Job Summary 

  • Manage the Business Relationship with clients, including managing the client’s expectations of LeasePlan service levels 
  • Provide client with recommendations, complete with needed processes, to streamline activities, control costs, or enhance the client experience with LeasePlan USA
  • Manage clients Statement of Work to ensure compliance throughout the business
  • Direct the day to day service provided to clients, leading to best in class service levels
  • Analyze reporting to Clients based on Statement of Work which will lead to policy adherence and ultimately cost containment
  • Present, along with the Client Success VP, the Business Review to clients, including service goals, costs, cost reduction achieved, daily maintenance, including Statement Of Work opportunities, and overall relationship management
  • Insure data integrity for all billing and reports provided to clients
  • Identify and present to client opportunities to increase product penetration with clients
  • Ensure that departmental processes are designed and implemented in a way to mitigate operational risks / losses
  • Lead New Client activation for all clients assigned to personal portfolio
  • Earn Certification in the Client Services 12 Elements training module
  • Actively participate in corporate projects, i.e. Quality Improvement Process or Lean Process
  • Understand yearly goals for assigned clients and create and execute on an actionable plan to support the client in obtaining those goals as related to fleet management
  • Provide summary reports to Clients showing how decisions/managing of fleet have led to higher driver compliance and cost containment
  • Administer, direct and facilitate driver adherence to Fleet Policies and procedures
  • Create or review/enhance and recommend fleet policy changes and enhancements to improve administrative time and cost savings to represented clients
  • Manage maintenance and accident repair approval over client parameters, including decisions on repairs and rental vehicle approval
  • Manage client inventory including driver assignments, moves and storage making decisions on behalf of client to provide best utilization of fleet vehicles at the lowest cost to client
  • Report, oversee and manage “outliers” of the maintenance and fuel programs and communicate as necessary to senior management and drivers, including cost savings achieved
  • Make decisions regarding cost containment and streamlining activities using Strategic Consulting skills. Set up tracking and reporting to ensure client buy-in and agreement with cost savings opportunities
  • Manage vehicle depreciation structure to tie with vehicle usage and provide optimal vehicle replacement recommendations based on fleet policy
  • Conduct and provide budgetary review and oversight, in accordance with client and LeasePlan established policy
  • Hold Fleet Management Company (LPUS) accountable for agreed upon service, program and cost control commitments
  • Provide analytical and exception reporting, as needed, focusing on life cycle cost analysis – acquisition, maintenance, fuel and vehicle remarketing drawing conclusions and making recommendations from findings
  • Manage mutually agreed upon Statement of Work
  • Demonstrate aptitude to relate fleet performance to future outcomes and be able to communicate your findings of the analysis of fleet performance to your client
  • Be actively involved in all Living Group meetings and when applicable take a leadership role.

Education: College degree preferred or equivalent work experience

Experience: Minimum of 4 years of Fleet Management experience, preferably in the private sector

Skills: Strong analytical skills
Understand, create and implement a Fleet Leasing and Management policy
Ability to manage several projects at the same time 
 Microsoft office suite word and excel required, PowerPoint preferred
 Proficient in verbal and written communication
