Job Description

The Director, Connected Truck & Equipment role core responsibilities will be to collaborate with LeasePlan leadership, Truck & Equipment Group and Corporate Fleet commercial teams to develop and implement the integration strategy and consulting solutions for heavy duty truck and equipment clients. The Director will work jointly with commercial fleet and truck group teams to collaborate on new business leads and enhance the truck group product and service offerings.

 Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with LeasePlan leadership, Truck & Equipment Group and Corporate Fleet commercial teams to develop and implement the integration strategy and consulting solutions for heavy duty truck and equipment clients
  • Provide specific consultancy and decision solutions based on understanding of truck group client and prospect needs
  • Provide consultation on cost savings, telematics and safety offerings, equipment specifications and selection, TCO, lifecycle management, economic life, asset depreciation and truck and equipment market trends
  • Assist clients with RFP management and negotiations for equipment quotes
  • Find additional opportunities to cross-sell LeasePlan services, including fuel, fleet maintenance, safety, ELD, asset tracking and telematics solutions
  • Present opportunities to the pricing team, product owners and executive pricing committee for additional services with both competitive and sustainable pricing for clients and prospects
  • Deliver pricing to prospects and clients for these solutions, support the negotiation of agreements and develop corresponding statements of work
  • Provide thought leadership and guidance to the corporate fleet business development and commercial teams in the areas of truck and equipment solutions
  • Utilize SalesForce.com to manage and keep accurate records of activities, prospect and client desires, solutions, stakeholder analysis, discovery documentation and consultancy requests
  • Communication skills that extend to both internal and external customers and portray the knowledge, confidence, and integrity of a director representing the organization and specific product offerings
  • Tactfully handle multiple competing longer and shorter term timelines, while working with all team members and leadership to ensure successful sales strategy and target requirements
  • Communicate with co-workers, team members, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.

Requirements

Education:    Bachelors degree required, MBA or Master’s in Business field preferred

Experience:  Minimum of 3-5 years outside sales in the selling of a financial service or non-tangible service, experience in the commercial equipment finance and management industries preferred
