Job Description

The Director, Safety & Connected Vehicles role core responsibilities will be to collaborate with leadership, product development and commercial teams to develop and implement the sales strategy for safety and connected vehicles. The Director will work jointly with business development and commercial teams to co-sell on new business leads and increase current client service penetration in the areas of safety and connected vehicles. The Director will also work closely with product owners and vendors to fully understand the current and future state of the programs offered.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with leadership and internal teams to develop the sales strategy for safety and connected vehicle solutions
  • Successfully achieve sales targets for service penetration for both new prospects and existing clients in the areas of safety and connected vehicles
  • Provide specific recommendations based on understanding of client and prospect needs and product solutions
  • Present opportunities to the pricing team, product owners and executive pricing committee to achieve both competitive and sustainable pricing for clients and prospects
  • Deliver pricing to prospects and clients for these solutions, support the negotiation of agreements and develop corresponding statements of work
  • Provide thought leadership and guidance to the business development and commercial teams in the areas of safety and connected vehicles
  • Work jointly with the consultancy team to provide prospects and clients with studies on potential cost savings, possible guarantees, and benefit of the safety and connected vehicle solutions
  • Utilize SalesForce.com to manage and keep accurate records of activities, prospect and client desires, solutions, stakeholder analysis, discovery documentation and consultancy requests
  • Communication skills that extend to both internal and external customers and portray the knowledge, confidence, and integrity of a director representing the organization and specific product offerings
  • Tactfully handle multiple competing longer and shorter term timelines, while working with all team members and leadership to ensure successful sales strategy and target requirements
  • Communicate with co-workers, team members, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
  • Demonstrate reliable and predictable attendance.
  • Other duties assigned to ensure overall departmental efficiency.

Education:      Bachelors degree required, MBA or Master’s in Business field preferred

Experience:    Minimum of 3-5 years outside sales in the selling of a financial service or non-tangible service, experience in the automotive, connected vehicle or mobility service industries preferred
