Job Description

The Compensation and Benefits Analyst is responsible for the management of the LeasePlan USA’s employee compensation process operations as well as the day to day administration of the company's benefit programs. This is a highly confidential position that primarily involves constructing, implementing and overseeing the LPUS’s compensation program. In addition, this position includes the benefits administration for our group medical, dental and vision plans, life insurance, STD, LTD and company leave programs.

Benefits Administration

  • Work with LeasePlan’s benefit broker and benefit vendors to ensure a best in class benefit offering to the employees of LeasePlan USA
  • Working in tandem with our broker, serve as first point of contact for employees concerning benefits and help in the investigation of employee claims
  • Assist with annual benefits renewal process, which includes meetings with vendors and brokers and participating in enrollment activities.
  • Process and reconcile monthly invoices and statements.
  • Process enrollments, terminations, cancellations, and status changes of benefits, disability, accident and death claims. 
  • Process required documents through payroll and carrier to ensure accurate record keeping and payroll deductions. 
  • Provide analytical and technical support in the delivery of the benefit programs.
  • Process and track all leaves of absence.
  • Develop tools and processes to help employees in the selection of the appropriate benefits 
  • Ensure LeasePlan stays compliant with key federal compliance programs including ERISA, HIPAA and ACA. 
  • Will ensure successful completion of LeasePlan 5500's as well as work with payroll to ensure completion of LeasePlan’s 1095, using the appropriate lookback period.
  • This position should also be responsible for periodic audits of benefit deductions to ensure accuracy.

Compensation

  • Develop, implement, administer and modify policies for compensation, bonuses, incentives, Merit and benefits systems for LeasePlan USA
  • Develop, implement and maintain LeasePlan USA's compensation structure, market pricing programs, participation in external salary surveys and ensure our pay practices are in line with LeasePlan USA's compensation philosophy.
  • Ensure that the compensation structure remains externally competitive while retaining internal equity and alignment with company objectives/policies.
  • Create incentive plan documents, memos and other compensation-related documents on behalf of the Human Resource department
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with FLSA, Equal Pay Act, ADA, EEO and other applicable state and federal laws 
  • Work closely with HR Business Partners and Recruiting team to ensure fairness and equity in salaries for all new hire, promotion and salary adjustments.
  • Educate executives, managers and employees on compensation structure and related policies/procedures
  • Recommend salary actions for new hires, promotions, merits, etc.
  • Prepare job descriptions and role classification systems, and define job levels and families.
  • Assist managers with compensation issues and decisions including reviewing jobs to the market when necessary, reviewing individual salaries to market on a regular basis to ensure pay equity.
  • Stay up to date with market trends and develop / implement new compensation plans when required.
  • Communicate with co-workers, team members, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.

  • Other duties assigned to ensure overall departmental efficiency.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance

Experience: 5-7 years experience in the analysis, design, and/or administration of compensation and benefit programs. Design and administration of self-insured medical plans a plus in this role.

Skills: Knowledge of HR principles and procedures. Excellent analytical skills & statistical aptitude required. Knowledge of compensation structures, job grading and job slotting, HR policy, and reporting requirements. Ability to understand, evaluate, and make recommendations on policy, procedures or practices related to compensation and  benefit plans. Clear understanding of employment laws and regulatory systems and requirements. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively to persons at all levels of the organization. Advanced Excel skills required along with other MS Office programs
