Job Description

The A/R Analyst should have a minimum of 5 years experience collecting on $30m + fortune 500 level portfolios. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of how collections action/lack of action impacts the business.  Possess strong analytical research and resolution skills.  The candidate must be articulate and have the ability to negotiate payments with all levels of the accounts payable management chain while maintaining positive business relationships.  The A/R Analyst must be able to provide comprehensive weekly reports on the status of accounts within their assigned portfolio in a clear concise manner and be able to work in a team environment.  Identify and help to resolve any billing and payment problems to minimize losses.

  • Contact clients to collect on all assigned accounts receivables in a timely manner
  • Document conversation with client in appropriate notes system as to facilitate follow-up efforts.
  • Reconciliation of short or overpaid invoices.
  • Generate reports and communicate potential risks to Accounts Receivable Manager and escalate if necessary.
  • Research of billing history of accounts to assist in resolving client issues.
  • Assist cash application with identification of payments made.
  • Communicate with co-workers, team members, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
  • Demonstrate reliable and predictable attendance.
  • Other duties assigned to ensure overall departmental efficiency.

Education: College degree in Accounting, Finance or Business a plus.

Experience: The A/R Analyst should have five years experience collecting on $30m + fortune 500 level portfolios

Skills: Supreme communication and negotiation skills. Good math aptitude, basic PC skills and JD Edwards & AS400 experience a plus.  Good organizational and people skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
