Job Description

The Senior Remarketing Account Manager will manage a portfolio of clients regarding their end of lease options; including but not limited to equipment returns, lease extensions, and buyouts. This position works with the sales team to meet customer specific service requirements and generate revenues from expired assets. The Senior Remarketing Account Manager acts as liaison between the lessee and investor for all transactions and ensures compliance with the lease agreements while maintaining good relationships with both as well as creating profitable transactions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage a portfolio of clients (lessees) and their expiring leased units. Coordinate end of lease options/obligations with the client including but not limited to truck and equipment returns, lease extensions, and buyouts.
  • Direct the day to day service provided to clients on expiring or expired leases, leading to best in class service levels.
  • Communicate with clients and third party investors on all end of lease activity, while maintaining good relationships with both parties.
  • Provide client with recommendations to streamline activities or enhance the client experience with LeasePlan USA.
  • Provide reporting to the client as needed to increase client\u0027s ability to manage their business effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensure data integrity for all reports provided to clients.
  • Ensure all lease requirements are adhered to at end of the lease. Read lease documents to determine course of action required at lease end.
  • Audit paperwork for accounts that have completed returns or extensions. May create necessary credit/debit memos, extension forms, and billing change forms.
  • Manage returns with Remarketing Sales Manager to meet expectations of return dates, repairs necessary per the schedule and lease documents, and termination of unit.
  • Proactively analyze client\u0027s portfolio with possible potential for growth and maximize overall profit.
  • Assist in training of newly hired Remarketing Account Managers and/or Coordinators.
  • Regularly review processes and procedures and provide recommendations for improvement to management.
  • Participate in departmental projects as requested.
  • Communicate with co-workers, team members, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.

Requirements:

Education

  • College degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.

Experience

  • 5-7 years customer service and/or financial services experience. 
  • Equipment leasing knowledge required,
  • Must have completed the Fundamentals of Equipment Leasing and Finance course provided by ELFA. Basic understanding of tractors, trailers, and material handling equipment.

Skills

  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Must be extremely detail oriented and able to handle many tasks at one time.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Financial understanding of interest rates, depreciation, and residuals.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication.
  • Proven superior customer service skills.
