Job Description

The Analytic Consultant role core responsibilities will involve utilizing technical system programs to access the target client’s data, leverage this data to translate into value added analytics and decision support solutions, utilize the analytical output to ensure continuous improvement and maximization of cost savings for the underlying fleet, and communicating the results and findings in an understandable and cogent way to stakeholders. The Analytic Consultant will also support LPUS consultative and commercial efforts by utilizing analytical skills to assist with development of internal and external ad-hoc financial, economic, statistical and risk modeling deliverables and analytics initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Analyze and interpret information to determine cause & effect factors and identifies trends relating to operation performance and / or can be used in predictive modeling
  • Follows data mining techniques to gather relevant information from client and entire client data sets for internal and external benchmarking purposes to leverage best practices
  • Uses standard reporting software tools to extract, manipulate, and format data required for analytical reporting.
  • Manage delivery of internal or external ad-hoc financial, economic, statistical, risk modeling deliverables (reporting / analysis) in a timely and accurate manner and communicate and / or pursue resolution of issues as required.
  • Improve utilization of proprietary (Client, LPUS, LP) and industry data to support client decision making processes.
  • Actively pursues best practices in the area of analytics and related technical areas by leveraging available formal (classroom or online training, industry events) and informal (existing team resources, independent research) resources.
  • Communication skills that extend to both internal and external customers and portray the knowledge, confidence, and meticulousness of an information providing department.
  • Tactfully handle multiple competing longer and shorter term timelines while providing service excellence towards all work.
  • Provide specific recommendations based on sound logical and knowledge of fleet operations and industry trends.
  • Ability to explain data trends through understanding of client operational and fleet financial business data levers and underlying root causes.
  • Meets with specific client stakeholders and other subject matter experts to gather requirements and understand specifications for Business Reviews and reporting / analytical needs.
  • Utilizes strong communication skills to convey meaning and interpretation of data conclusions to internal and external clients.
  • Uses both standard processes and independent thought processes to derive conclusions from data trends.

IDEAL REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelors degree required.

Experience: 2+ years in consultative role with experience in data analysis

Skills:

  • Must be able to make decisions within the scope of work and meet project deadlines
  •  Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency with creating presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as within a team environment.
  • Must possess excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
